I find ALL the 'battle-packs' Lego puts out are perfect to get your kid into Lego. Don't go too large with the models at first but instead pick up these clone battle packs or droid battle packs. Very easy builds for a 5 yr. old on up.
This particular set comes with 4 Clone Troopers, a gunner station and a neat speeder-bike with a mount to put a blaster in the rear. You also get a set of binoculars for one of your Clones.
