Toy Story Deluxe Zurg Action Figure Buy Now

We got this Zurg for our 4.5 year-old son over the holidays. This Zurg is the only one that was available in 2009 that talked, which is why he won out over Disney Pixar Toy Story Chase 'N' Attack Zurg.

This Zurg is a little big and distorted looking, but the fact that it talked, and the promise of "fully poseable" won out. In the end, we're happy with the limited number of phrases he utters, and disappointed (but not bitter) about the reality of his poseability (is that even a word?).

If you are getting a Zurg and you want to hear him utter all of his menacing phrases, step right up. This Zurg says all of the classics:

"Come to me my prey."
"I am your father."
"Mwahahahahahaha."
"We meet at last Buzz Lightyear, for the last time!"
And, of course, "Destroy Buzz Lightyear! Destroy Buzz Lightyear! Destroy Buzz Lightyear!"

That's it. No more, no less. It is a blessedly short list, actually. And our son quickly figured out that he could cycle through the phrases to get to the one that he wanted by repeatedly pushing the button, so often what we hear is, "Come to I am Mwa Destroy Buzz Lightyear!" Which is cool, in a sample-loving generation's kind of way.

But Zurg is not "fully poseable." Far from it. His head spins and his arms rotate at the shoulder, and that is it. His hands don't close, his elbows don't bend, his cape doesn't flutter, his waist doesn't turn and his um knees? don't bend. His poses are limited to four: both arms up, both arms down, or a combination of one arm up and the other arm down.

But he's still a very cool Zurg to have battle with Buzz and Woody.Get more detail about Toy Story Deluxe Zurg Action Figure.
