I purchased this for my 3 1/2 yr. old Grandson. I had researched about 10 cash registars. This is very durable and easy to use. Right now he can't use any of the adding,subtracting, mult, and dividing features but he will certainly grow into them. He uses it all the time. I like that it requires no batteries. It's fun for me to be able to "play" store with a more grown-up machine. Amazon had it out in a very short time.
